some one please help me my 3g is not doing to well and i am not much of a mechanic but i was hoping to at least get the car temp fixed till pay day. Anyway the problem is my car cuts off during idle or when in drive with not enough gas applied. WHen i let go of gas at a stop light my car shuts off which is really beigging to be a problem. I have looked at some things and i think maybe its a fuel filter but i do not know. Any way it cuts off with not enough gas applied and its defftinley not good (duh) Anyway i guess that is all i know man i sound like a women(no offense) because i do not have any knowledge of cars. ANyway i would really like it if i could get some pointers on this.

maybe a vacum leak........maybe your idle needs to be set......but I would first just get some carb cleaner........take the airbox off....and just spray the damn thing as clean as u can get it........do it while it is running....and while it is off .....u may have trouble starting it right afterwards cuzz it is flooded with carb cleaner.....but if that doesnt work......check for vacum leaks and adjust your Idle.........I am still a newbie at the carb shit.....but mine wouldnt start once so I sprayed it out real good........and ran fine eversence!

Check out the link above... that may also be your problem.

---EDIT---
Oops if it's only at idle then it's probably not a loose booster.

I wonder if the air-bleed valves inside the air box ever decide to flex in the opposite diretion now and then... It doesn't seem like thats the problem but right now all i can do is throw up a few suggestions.

If you want to rule out the air bleeds just run a small zip-tie and lightly secure the metal tab to cap off the hole. I'll try and get a pic to show you what I mean.

Anyways check the PCV as well... that may come loose if you have too much blow by.. or just wiggles loose on it's own over time from the vibration and heat.
