Here it goes...

I am starting to get more familiar with my carb... I took my emissions test a little while ago and I wont need to take it again for a while. I have looked through the how2 and I did a search but I can’t find exactly what I need to know. I need a full breakdown on exactly what hoses I can take off and how to remove the emissions systems... I plan on putting a circle type air filter directly on the carbs intake. I have found one that I can get for a really good discounted price that is only 2 1/4in tall and has a 4in opening... I know this is a lot of work but I want to get the best performance out of my stock carb. I really need pics so I can know exactly what Im doing... Thanks....

BTW my uncle and I rebuilt the carb about 4 months ago but he never told me what hoses I could remove and so on...

look at how to.
it is very easy.
if you leave air jet controller unpluged. your car will perform better between 2000-3000 rpm.

YEA FOLLOW THE "c" LINE TO THE CARB AND REMOVE THE HOSE, REPLACE THE HOSE WITH A PLUG

I wonder though... if you can check the size of the air correction jet under the top hat... it's the only that can be unscrewed from the top hat. at least on US cars.

The size is stamped onto the jet so you won't have to remove it.
