I would like to replace the alternator belt on my 87 Accord LXi.
Just from a quick glance, it looks like I need to remove the air conditioning belt and the power steering belt before I can just replace the alternator belt.
Is this correct?? Any tips would be appreciated.

Take off the plastic splash pan. It will make accessing the compressor bolts possible. you actually have to pry the P/S pump with a pry bar to tighten that belt as it has no tensioner bolt.
If you ask me, I don't know why Honda couldn't have used a serpentine belt. I never had any problems with the one on our Escort. One belt for everything and it takes five minutes to change it. Just pull back the spring tensioner with a 3/8" ratchet handle and off comes the belt. Even our 99 Oasis (With the 2.3 liter Honda VTEC motor) still has two belts.

What plastic splash pan are you referring to? sorry... i did not go take a quick look at it yet...
I agree... a serpentine belt makes life so much easier.
