:mad: K everybody I have an announcement
:rant: DO NOT USE PLATI-KOTE interior paint. It chips so bad. I'm pretty upset luckily I didn't do the whole interior yet. Anybody with suggestions on interior paints that are good for the dash and other parts of that sort that won't chip? :rant:

Did you ever use armor all? If so did you properly prep the surface? What color are you painting it? You can dye the vinyl parts in your car. www.jcw.com has vinyl dye for $15. I thought Dupli-paint was good. I'm sure if you ask someone for a paint that flexes they will give you the right one.

I refinished and repainted every plastic part on my Chevelle and used Plasti-Kote paint on it and it looks fine, I even used it on my flexible dash pad. I just made sure to scrub it with all purpose cleaner and thoroghly rinsed it. I have had the car sitting in parking lots with no tint on the windows and the car has had heavy use for two years and no sign of chipping except where the door panels rubbed the door piller. I would just suggest much better prep, I even went as far as touching it with gloves on and using freshly cleaned towels to dry the three rinses of water.

when your done try putting a clear coat on it to seal and protect it
