Iam about to get an engine for my car soon also (89Lxi) I've looked around for a good price and warranty. It is hard to find. I am going to go with
http://www.powerpro2000.com/lb_honda.htm
Because they have new long block with a 5yr/100,000mi warranty($1,599+$195coredeposit, also shipping is included in the price both ways). I don't want to spend time or money on putting a used or shity ass warranted engine in my car. But if you do want a better price look for used blocks with low miles.

well thats my 2 cent out

thanks- I am sure thats a great deal- except my buget is saying to stay under 600- wife's 2 cents since this ride is just a toy-all it needs to do is carry the sound system to and from shows

:stupid: well after talking with 5 different honda techs today I found out that I very well could use the 1.8 except there r very forbidden drawbacks- one is that if I switch to the 1.8 thne that means I will not pass smog or emisions in CA-and it would also be a headache to switch since both motors are a totally different-less power and not worth the hassel for the money -they said it's like makeing the lxi a dx----so with that being said I will continue my search for a 2.0-----

well air freight is about $200 (new zealand) and they have to ispect it both ends but other than that its a 6 day delivery (it works out to about $850 nz(around $400-$450 usd) plus tax at ur end unless it is sent as a "gift" lol then there isnt tax either end theres ways and means around all taxes u just gotta know the system a little
