You need to use the electric defogger. I think the vents lead to outward ventilation through the trunk rather than blast air on the window.

If your electric defogger does not work then check your fuses, electric lines, and if the defogger lines on the window are broken or not (which they tend to do). You may need some defogger repair kit from the auto parts store if thats your problem.

Yeah I was thinking WHAT? They dont put out air, theyre just vents.

ohh shit. you all are right. i read the manual and there are just outtake vents for the air. i do have the electric defogger, and YES, a bunch of the wires dont work. i talked to a friend of mine about how to fix this, and he said i have to get a whole new rear window. is this true?

No! Go to AutoZone and get a defroster repair kit. You have to repaint the defective defroster lines. A lot cheaper than a new window!

Nah man. I was just there a split second after you. Not a statement of any sorts. If anything its just attention to detail.
