oversized oil filter

What are the pros and cons of using a oversized oil filter on a civic engine???

I wouldn't think anything is gpoing to go wrong, just need to add a little more oil when you change it then you would if you used the normal size. It might better using a bigger filter.

i have OEM filter ! should i put oil on it ?? the old one wasn't oiled ! and teh new one didn't come with oil !
