interior questions???

I was wondering about the interiors that i always see in the magazines. How do they get their dashes to be so smooth and shiny? Our dashes have those cracky looking marks in them, can you sand those out and paint it to get that smooth look or do you have to do something else.

i guess you could do a coat of fiberglass then a thin coat of bondo...i dunno really...just putting in my 2 cents.

You just spread some fiberglass resin and sand it smooth. It is a ton of work.

Where would you get the fiberglass if I wanted to do that?
