Allright, so I got my K&N air filter all ready to go and when i try to flip the air lid, the screws are way too short, so i take off the rubber grommets on the lid, and its still too short for the nuts to catch! what do I do now..

You can either pound you lid with a hammer or mallet (off the carb) or try some more convincing like holding the wingnut in a pair of pliers then leaning on it as a you fasten. Thats how I got mine on back then.

Read the thread above...

also

I used a C-Clamp to push down the lid some... other wise you can just push it down by hand.

They say it sounds good at higher rpm's so if ur driving an auto u wont get to hear it much huh? unless ur on the freeway?

It's not entirely the rpms it's when the secondary throttl opens.... you get to hear the engine/carb growl since the air box is no longer containing the noise.

You also need a clean filter.
