hey man. im doin some customizing my interior right now. i have only see the black recolor paint done. what brand did u get? the ones ive seen is duplicolor and plasikote. i wanted to do red all around. i was thinkin white at first but my friends car has white and always gets sooo dirty. how does that paint hold up? does it flake or is it absorbed into the plastic? looks good

um I didnt get the door panels anywhere I made them. I took the door panels off, striped em down to bare compressed board. went to fabric store found the reddest Vynil I could find. they dont make a red Vynil spray. then I gluled it down and stapled it and then cut out all the proper holes for the other trim that is attached to it and BAM! I was done. i rebuilt one of the panels cause it was shot. pretty easy just really time comsuming. if anyone is ever up in this area I am more than willing to help out. I have fun working on it.

I also tint windows too. except for the damn back window. havent quite gotten the hang of that cramps space!!

I have been wanting to redo my interior from maroon to black. I was going to get that vinyl dye for the dash and etc.. and paint the rest but I need vinyl or fabric to replace the red fabric.

no man, i was talkin to Own3d. sorry. guess i should have said how i was talkin to. but in a way, that gives me something to think about. maybe vinal is the way to go on the fabric part of the door. but i wanted to know about the plastic trim n shit that guy painted. i wanted to know what BRAND of paint he used. i just recolored my prelude seats 2day. i went from blue to black. i did em with duplicolor. they turned out sooo nice. u would never believe they were originally blue.

You painted your seats? Never heard of that before. I heard of dying them with RIT dye. Was it easy to do?

well i guess its not exactly paint. but i would say its paint. i guess its more of a dye. i tried plasikote but it wasnt makeing them very dark. they were still blue 2day when i looked at em. so i went and bought duplicolor and they only needed 2 coats. i did both of em 2day. i hope this is the last time i have to take them apart. that gets to be a b-otch. i was well worth it. i think i will do the fabric parts on the door black and the plastic parts in red. this guy with a mustang told me to use duplicolor. his turned out real nice and has yet to flake off. i guess its cuz its more of a dye than paint. it sticks best to fabric, vinal, and rubber. for the slick plastic, i just scuffed it up with sand paper and it worked well.
