I'm looking for a sub setup that will deliver decent (doesn't have to be building rattling) bass, while taking up as little real estate as possible. I'm running a 5.1 sound setup, and I don't want the bass to overload the other channels. My friend recommended a 6x9 or 8 inch isobaric box... anyone have any other suggestions?

12" single sub should do nice. or go with dual 10" or 8" subs.

2 10s sealed in a small box, or maybe 2 12s in small sealed too. With either youll need a decent amp to get good sound out of them, it takes alot of power to drive those small sealed subs.

i would go with a 12 inch Legacy Gold Series...

NOT!!!!!

get an Infinity Perfect 10... in a 1 cube box, maybe 1.25 and hook it to a nice expensive SQ amp.. i dunno what to recomend for amp cuz i dont give a hoot about SQ... for SPL, get a JBL 600.1

i would get a 10 inch woofer. check out ppi or audiobahn. its called a flat piston woofer or compression woofer. completly flat and made out of kevlar so its really strong, and they dont take up that much space. my friend had one and he could throw things at it while playing and they would bounce off

dude you can put stuff on the ROOF of my car and they will bounce off... The infinity perfect is a nice nice sub, in the 10 or 12, so are JL audio W6 or W7 series and Alpine Type R subs, thats what i would reccomend.
