so yeah, I broke off my damn PVC valve. When I was trying to get it out I accidently pushed it down the tube a little bit and it fell down inside the tube. I am afraid that when I take the intake manifold off to replace that stupid tube, the bottom half of the PVC valve is going to fall inside the engine. Is that possible? If it does fall inside the engine how will I get it out?

ok, instead of buying that tube from honda I am just going to make my own with regular tubing. Does anyone know what size tubing that PCV tube is?

It wont fall inside the engine... there is a box below the tube... remove the box and shake it till the part that fell in comes out.

can that box be removed without taking off the intake manifold?

ok, it took me a hour but I got the box and tubes out. What is that box for? looks like it keeps oil out of the PCV. Do I need the box? can I just run a tube from where the bottom of the box hooked up to the engine, up to the intake manifold and put a PCV valve in between? I am thinking that if I do that I will be sucking oil into the intake manifold.

yes you will pick up more oil... then you'll be replacing the PCV valve sooner the next time around.

Nah you're not stupid. I usually say PVC valve and catch myself. Don't worry about it. :)

yeah it is pcv valve(positive crankcase ventilation) same thing happened to me when I still had the pcv box under the intake still on there.

my car doesn't look like the pic in the faq. I have a disc like thing in about the same place. Is that it? I have an 87, could the pic be from an 88/89? Are they different?

thanks for your help!!
