Well, my latch is broken due to the accident and there isnt a way i can fix that, because some of the frame is bent. I went to the junk yard and picked up a new hood and the hook does not meet the latch so it wont latch down my hood. Im afraid if i drive too fast on the freeway the hood will fly up, right now i have couple cables tying it down, but it gets annoying.

Now for the question, i was wondering if hood pins will hold down my hood, without the latch, and how reliable is it, like can i got like 110 mph and my hood still wont fly up on me.

get hood pins.. get the real NHRA ones... they hold dragster hoods down at 250 MPH!

Ask them if they are actual hood pins. But yeah they'll be just as good if they are real ones.

They have some in Summit for $9.50 a pair, + shipping, just call the number 800 230 3030, its open 24/7 and toll free, and ask them what they recommend for your situation, I use summit often and they can be quite helpful.
