Ball joint nut size

I have a 1988 honda accord lxi 5spd. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the size of the castle nut (dont know if thats what it is called) that is on the ball joint on the bottom of the upper control arm. I tried downloading the manual but it shows up as cannot find server. thanx

The manual doesn't tell you what size it is.
If I remember correctly, it's a 14.

I checked the Majestic Honda site and it notes that nut thread size is 12mm. I believe it is a fine thread, so M12 x 1.25. If you needed to know the hex size, it is 19mm.

nope, it is not 19. i just took off upper arm the other day. it takes 17mm. there is a pin you have to remove too.

yeah should be 17mm. The lower ball joint is 17, now I remember. Anyway, suspension and handling bolts are either 14 or 17s and some 12s. Nice to have long wrenches of those sizes.
