For the past few weeks, when I leave school my key is having problems unlocking the door! I've been having to turn it to the left then right about 3 times to get it open! It NEVER used to do this. Someone please tell me what's wrong and how to fix this problem.

Thanx

Try getting LOCK lube it is a graphite substance and spraying it in the lock don't use wd40 use something espically for locks.

Mine did that when I got the car. I used a little of it and it didnt do anything, so I squirted a whole crapload in there and it works like new. Use a moderate amount of it.

I have keyless entry! I don't know how it feels to use the key to open the door!! So Circa 1980's

Or you could also lock it by pulling on the handle which opens the door from the inside then lock it. This is how you lock doors on Hondas without a key, just in case any of you didn't know that. As for me, I never lock my doors. I leave that to my alarm.

my 94 accord has keyless entry so i have no idea if it works on that one and it's a little tough on the 3 gee but we have a 95 1/2 honda passport that started off just being a little tough to unlock but now you put the key in and it won't turn so you need to walk around to the passenger side to unlock it. also the rear passenger door won't open. don't know what's up with that. do i need a new lock? what could cause the rear door not to open?

your key could be getting worn down. it's buond to happen after 15 or so years.

actually i don't even have the original key and it works (or did work untill it was broken int) on the passenger side. any ideas on the passport? that is just annoying.
