fan question

Just picked up an 86 lxi accord. The fan stays on after it's turned off. Is this normal (I've searched and can't find anything) and if so, how long should it be on? Mine stayed on for like five minutes. Thanks.

Yes, it's normal. When the coolant in the radiator is above some temperature the fan will stay on up to 15 minutes to cool it off.
