im looking to get a system next. i want to get the aluminum 12 qz from audiobahn, Only problem is that they have 3 or 12 ohm operation. i can't seem to find any amps that operate at that resistance. How can i power these subs if i get them?

any amp will run at 12 ohms. As far as I know. and if you can find an amp that is 2 ohm stable, you can do the 3 ohm sub. 3 ohms would be MUCH better than the 12 ohm.

it doesnt have to run exactly at that impedance. if you want 2 of them find an amp that is 1 ohm stable becuase you can run the two of them at 1.5 ohms and you will be fine

i see, so if i could get a 1000w, 2ohm amp, that would be fine right? these subs i want are the aluminum 12 in series, ther rms pwr is 1000w and 3/12 ohm operation, thanks for the link lil 89 lxi, but the amp isn't powerful enough. also i have my connections for buyin stuff :) and i don't have any at crutchfield. thanks everybody.
