Hi

I just installed a natural gas kit in a 3gee, It works nice... and practically runs without any expenses, over here 60 rupees = 1 US Dollar, and we get a full tank of CNG (Compressed natural gas) for 200 rupees (takes the car for 60 miles) on 37 lbs of gas at 3000 psi.

Kinda neat huh..... (its a ULEV without any vacuum lines)

The price is right, but that's not much of a range before you need another $3 fill.

When I saw "natural gas," fart was the first thing that came into mind that's why I decided to read what it's all about. Jeez, I thought way wrong. Anyways, yes, pictures would be nice.

even in india ( i am from india) they have natural gas kits for cars, but the thing is, if the kit is not properly registered or to say u buy a cheap ass unauthorized kit, ur gonna blow up ur car due to high pressure in the gas cylinder. US guys might not know this, but the Natural gas in Asia is called LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) comes in a big ass 22.5Kg (49.6lb) iron cylinder to power cooking ranges in India and i guess it does the same in Pakistan too. When i was there in India this past summer, my friends drove around in that, The performance goes away, but its much more cleaner and the cylinder should be wrapped to have it cooldown under high pressure to prevent it from exploding.

the kits were 300-500 Rupees (indian) which converts to around $6.25 to $ 11 under US currency using $1 = Rs.48

$3 to go 60 miles? Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. I suppose the price of gasoline must be high there.

If you use synthetic oil in a propane or natural gas powered car you practically never have to change it because it burns so cleanly.

i'm getting around 400 miles to a tank for like less than $20, so as much as i like clean air, i'll stick to smogging it up. that would be great for like a communter car, but i usually drive 20-50 miles per trip so i'll take long range over alternative fuel.

yeah, our A20A1 motors give a hella lot of miles per gallon for a sedan. Anywho, yes in Asia Petrol (gas) is hella expensive. and its weird that diesel is very much cheaper than gas in asia, or atleast in india.

Even though our gas prices have been increasing in the U.S., I believe a lot of people do take for granted how cheap our gas is compared to the rest of the world. I went to a soccer tourny in europe and in paris our tour guide told us there were six petrol stations in the whole city, all of which are hidden, and its about 6 euros (not francs) for one Liter(not gallon) of gas......I was amazed, and even to this day, with our gas prices going higher...i am still thankful that they are as low as they are
