i would think it would put you close, but one thing the weber has over the EFI is easy tunabilty... that's ALWAYS a plus

well.. maybe. I think for ultimate tuning and driveability efi is your thing, but bang for the buck performance and stuff you already have a carb so stick with it.

Hell no you wont get that much power lol. 22+ hp from a carb replacement? I dont think so. These arent big block motors we're working with here, and we arent putting on Edelbrock Dominators or something, it's just a factory-LIKE replacement. I'd say it'd give you the same boost as a full exhaust (cat, piping, muffler). The most 5-7 fwhp.

actually, a weber is a perfomance carb, so 22+ is seeable

well, he just said webber... never said what type, and he was asking if it was possible with a "webber", so the answer is yes

Sure, the answer is yes if you're one of those kids that adds up numbers to the engine. "Yeah, I've got a 100 hp motor, header adds 15 hp, intake adds 10 hp, exhaust adds 10 hp. Woo! I've got a 135 hp monster!" No, doesnt work that way.

Yeah, I agree it is a "performance" carb, but not in the same sense. Our stock motor at the most needs 212 cfm, and the Webers flow somewhere around 230, the last I saw. Now sure...if this was a big block chevy, I could see how adding a carb would gain 20+ horses, but it's not. It's a weak 98 hp SOHC, and any gain over 10 hp to the ENGINE is outrageous.

actually, the carb could easily get him up to stock EFI power, which is 112HP... so that's 14 more than the stock carb, which is a piece of shit... and yes, that's easily possible... even at 10 more would put it at 108... 4 short of the efi

now as for ME... i know the most you could get out of all 3 I/H/E mods on an engine the size of ours would be like 7... at tops... it's not numbers, it's the fact that each thing you do multiplies the engines power by a small amount... not a lot, but a little...

now for tha rant wars

GET THE FUCK OFF ME BITCH

ugh... i won't go too far for fear of making you look like a fool

Settle down Derick :D

I can see the 32/36 giving 10+ the 38/38 15+ and the rest of the larger webers or dual side drafts 20+ range after you have done other mods like the right cam, header/exhaust, and some porting of the manifold.

I want to push at least 3 out of the stock carb... with some major work. Wouldn't it be nice to have 101hp on an otherwise stock motor. :lol

i just hate when people argue online... it's senseless, and it pisses me off

Yeah well you're the one throwing out the insults. We were just fine giving opinions. I'll tell ya what, just throw me out a dyno sheet, and I'll shut my ass up. It's damn near impossible to argue the point if there's no effective way to 'feel' horsepower. Not accurately atleast.

actually, it was an insult because you reffered to me as "one of those kids", meaning ricers

if you visit any honda dealer. you will find that the a20a3 (CARB) has 122 hp stick. I got my new a2a3 carb engine last week had the car dynoed and it was 122 hp. so therefore the efi has to have more horse then 122.

LoL, you are bullshitting, and have no idea what you are talking about. First of all the A20A1's and A2's are carb'd, the A20A3 is Fuel Injected. Second of all, you dyno'd your car? You have no idea wtf you're talking about. Unless you managed to find a rare engine dyno, which really no shops have but specific manufacturers, you'd then have to remove your A20 and hook it up to the dyno. That 122 hp is to the crank buddy, and the average loss through the motor is 30-35%, making roughly, assuming the motor is in spec and perfect conditions, 85 hp. "So therefore the efi has to have more horse then 122?" You dont know what you're talking about. Just sit back and listen and learn.

Please drive through.
