Yeah there is always a blue wire (usualy around 14 gauge) that connects the amp to the HU (head unit)

IT MUST BE CONNECTED in order to get the amp to work. The amp's power line to the battery GETS the power, the RCA cables (red/white or red/black) SEND the sound.........and the control lets the HU tell the amp when to work or not.....

hope that clarifies it ....if not let me know..

ps--it is...to the best of my knowledge..always blue.....

that is the remote wire... it works in cconjunction with the aux. power so that when you turn the key once it sends a signal to the head unit and powers it on thus powering the amp thus drawing power from the lead power cable (usually 8 or 4 gauge)... and yes its always blue.

This is just my opinion but its no wonder explod subs are crap. They test them at like 12 volts of power and then over rate them for like 800 watts peak when they onlyt hit like 300 peak in a normal user setup. Personally I dont like being lied to when I buy a sub. Just my 2 cents. Later, James
