OK looking around, I might have missed it. What does the a8 stand for at the end? I just picked it up to replace mine a20 which is burning oil and the clutch was slipping badly (there is a clutch on this newer one).

A8? Is this some canadian model? I've heard of A1-A2 which are carb'd, and A3 which is FI. And it's an EX-i, so it's news to me. See if there are people familiar with canadian models, or other canadians with it...

My old 88 hatch was a a3 and was a carburated engine.

a20a3 is found in lx-i and se-i 120 hp/122 torque
a20a1 is found in carbed engines like 110 hp
