My 90-93nintegra did not need a moved battery but I did take the battery out when installing for convience. but It did require a lot of cutting make sure you get a 2.5 inch one becauseit will go through the factory hole in the fender the easiest.

My low end seemed better and I felt a difference esp comming from a stop at a trafic light and where I have the filter right behind the vent I feel a difference esp at high speeds.

Short ram = WAI (warm air intake)
CAI= cold air intake

Done right where it does not draw warm air from the engine bay, all CAI's will outpower all short rams 100% of the time.

Weather of not someone is willing to get those gains with more work and addition work when it comes time to replace the CAI filter depends on how much they want the most power or not.

Read about this the test results I posted in the FAQ section

'90 Integra intake def works the best cuz of the 2.5" similarities...ur gonna have to take out the battry to make installation easier though....u can feel the difference though...I had a Weapon R intake b4 the AEM CAI and the diff felt was almost imediate...so much more air was brought in @ cooler temps b/c the filter wasnt right next to the engine sucking in warm air....just to play it asafe though...find a GOOD mechanic or custom shoppe to have them install it safely..good luck...

it came in 1 piece and ended up in 3 I also used my 92 civic short ram for the end vecause the pipe diameter was smaller and I wanted to use my K&N cone filter but the teg one could have also been used.

It wasn't hard at all. All i had to do was lay it in there and cut off the over lapping. I got a two piece one and i had to make small cuts on each piece. Plus it's a 3" diameter.

I read the post on the CAI hp gains. What im wondering is how much more beneficiary is it to have on a carb (mechanic says not worth it) and how would a hood scoop with forced air to a carb compare?

No matter what diameter you get you gonna have to cut the hole down by the stock resonator box. The hole is to oval for the round pipe. I ordered both the 90-93 integra and 94-97 CAI with 2.5 diameter. The 94-97 was a easier job to fit less cutting and rearranging the pipes. It will fit better on a 5-spd too.

IMO its better to get a 2 piece if you get rain alot where you live so you can take off the second half when it rains so you dont suck water. Or get a bypass filter. Sucking water isnt a good thing.......

I used a 90-93 teg and if you get 2.5 inch piping you should not have to cut anything.

so it slips right in.and what is better 2 piece or one piece cause don't u have to throw on a by pass valve.

I will try and borrow a digi to post some pics-

If you have a Automatic you will have to do alittle more custom work. (due to the Tv cable or whatever it is called being in the way)
I got mine in the 2-piece (2.5 inch piping)

To keep the battery in the engine bay....
I had to cut some of the battery tray off for the the pipe to fit-and cut a hole in the metal tray for the battery tie downs.

At first I wasnt gonna install either one because I thought it was too much work :lol (especially if dont have the tools)

But I am soooooooo glad I did.

I wont be the first -I believe wickedaccord (another membeer sent me a pic of his) has a picture of his 94 accord CAI-but he has a motor swap-(but you can get a idea of how it will fit) like I said manuals will fit almost like that -
I had to modify mine again so I did some pipe switching and cutting -(I used my civic SR pipe on it also)

So when I do get the pic you will see the different colored pipes (looks really homemade and cheap ):lol
