I just recently got the new Cruthfeild magazine, and went to etronics.com, and I was wondering which would be the best for deep, rattle my car to peices sub¿ I was thinking either the 12 inch Infinity Type S, or the Kicker Comp 12 inch. They are both priced realativly (sp) in my price range so which do you recommend¿

I hate Infinitys because they jump TOO damn much. When I went up with my friends to Ultimate Electronics, and we were messing around with the subs, I saw a ported box with some Kappas, and when the damn things hit, I literally jumped back like a scared cat. It scared the shit out of me and I thought they flew out of the box. If you like that type of loose suspension, then they're your sub. My friend has a couple of the comp 12's in a sealed enclosure, and it provides an awesome hit. He's tuned it for about 50-65 and it's great for the rap (he doesnt like rap, but some rap has great bass). Overall I'm impressed by them. Especially considering he has a Jensen 400w amp powering both, they're damn good.

It's true! Plus! alot of those companies are owned by one big corporation! So whatever brand you buy! The money ends up in the same pocket!

Conspiracy eh? If I get enough speed in the future, I wont need sound, I'll be listening to *PSSSSSSST!* the whole time lol. Seriously, I've got a couple competition subs, 2400w system, and I rarely crank it past 1/2 way on the volume. It's more of just for bragging rights...

the kicker comp sucks, unless u get the vr models. ive heard these in a bandpass, there very good. but so is infinity, (ive got kappa speakers, people get fooled into thinking ther subs, i should stop telling them that their speakers) its up to you. i think the comp vrs are very good, especially for the price.

Hell I have 2 10" RF subs in an enclosed box and it rattles the car and sounds good. Any subs will rattle the car. The key to good sound is 6.5 and 6X9's. I like a clear crisp sounds and a little bass. I think my setup fits my needs without over doing it.

Yes it is true the Infinity's do move a lot as i have two of them. I can't complain for what i got them for but i wanted to get JL Audios like i had before that were very good. I think that the infinity's put out good sound and are almost up to the specs of the JL's i had before. I may actually take one out along with one amp because of weight concerns for the track.

How about Alpine, or bazooka

get an infinity kappa perfect sub. bazooka is a joke, and alpine is better at making head units and amps and electronics, theyre subs are ok.
