Okay, I've got a problem with the brakes in my 85, basically it feels like it has no pressure. it's just as soft as the clutch till it gets down so far then if I press hard enough (and I do mean hard) I can get the car to stop. the brakes are in great shape, the lines are fine and the brakes have been bled, AND the master cylinder rez is full of fluid.

any ideas?

I'm thinking it's the master cylinder.

You need to test the master cyliner, and also the power booster could be going out.

Try bleeding it again, cus it sounds like thats the prob.

You probably have air in your lines or it sounds like your booster is probably bad. To find out if its your booster:

Turn off your car
Pump the brake 3 times
It should be firm

If it isn't firm, your booster is probably bad.

I'm gonna agree with your diagnosis, either that, or air in the lines. If you actually find that it's the problem, be aware that aprox. half of the rebuilds you buy are gonna be defective too!LOL:rolleyes:
