I have my clutch pedal adjusted so it will disengage at the top so i don't have to press it to the floor. Is that ok to do that or does it hurt the clutch?

its usually a bad thing because the clutch is probably partially disengaged all the time. My last accord with a 5 speed was adjusted the very same way and it slipped like a mofo when trying to climb hills even tho the clutch disk itself was marginal.

you should always push the pedal all the way to the floor. and yes that does mean that your clutch is partially disengaged all the time and it's bad for your clutch.

check the play in the release arm ( look under your distributer )
should be between 5> 6mm !
if not adjust it using the nut at top of it !

If you look on the passenger side in the engine compartment right next to the battery (right of it ) and coolant hoses there is a cable going down to the tranny. It is held by a bracket and lower than that connects to a lever coming out of the tranny/clutch. On the bracket there is a circular dimpled nut that you can screw and unscrew to adjust the freeplay. Adjust that until the freeplay on the lever is correct.

disengaging at the top could cause some clutch sleepage some times ! :(

at the end of the cable there is an arm where the cable connects to the transmission. that arm should have a certain amount of freeplay, i think 1/8".
