Stock engine for your car would be an A20A1.

You say its a DX, so its a carb model. DX and LX models are carb. LX-i and SE-i are EFI models.

you can't turbo carb, well actually you can, but not with stock accord carb.
it will cost you arm, and a leg to turbo it.

You can always swap and then turbo if you have the money to do so.

Will it cost that much? I was thinking i'd get a used engine then go from their, but before all that I need a new transmission cause the present one is going down hill. atleast acording to the last owner, Ill see though. Do any of you know what to look for in buying a used tranny from someone?

I don't think you'll need the A20A3... You'll be swapping out the rods and pistons anyways... I don't think the crank was different so you can use the a1 parts.

go with Fi, u will feel that extra 22Hp compare to your DX, 98hp... once you get that, you never go back, hehe...

he's going turbo... and I'm talking about the block...
his internals will need to be swapped out anyways... so he can't use the stock A3 stuff even if he had them... you might as well use the B16 or B18c5 intake manifold. maybe swap out the gas tank and fuel lines from an LX-i.... everthing else is custom (ecu- fuel pump- turbo manifold- pistons-rods-etc.)

but if you can find the A3 then thats better... but no sense spending extra cash when you don't really need to.
