I have rockford RFZ 2412's, i think they sound better than HE2's, in sealed box being powered by a old school punch 55.2 and they sound insane. I just purchased an oldscchool rockford 800a4 and a cap, i will be upgrading, just the amp, the subs will remain for awhile, im putting my punch on my front components and bridging out the 800 by 100 to my subs and my 6 x 9's, i think anyway, not sure of how im gonna do this setup, i like rockfords old stuff, their new stuff like epicenter said is crap...MMATS is where its at though

Yeah, i like the old stuff more too but its exactly like you said old, hard to find older stuff in good quality anymore. I got six punch Hx2s and six 1001.1 BD amps but theyre not in my car yet. Had them in another car and they hit hard. Have always rolled rockford never used anything else just heard it. so kind of one sided opinion I guess.

I am running Rockford 6.5's in the doors and back deck, with two Rockford punch 10's in a ported box in the trunk. They are powered by one Alpine V12 5 channel amp,(the 5th channel bridged to run the 2 10's) The head unit is the Kenwood KDC-X859 CD/MP3-receiver w/ Sirius Satilite radio plus a ten disc Kenwood Changer in the trunk attached to the receiver sending its signal to an Alpine graphic equalizer with crossover then back to the Amp..
The system is VERY clean and hits lows with no problem and still has the clarity to hear every high while the bass kicks...

Cool setup, I run MB quart components for my fronts and rears with a Power 750x amp running em, got Kenwood KVT911-DVD sendin sound to the rockford amps, then into my subs and speakers. Well will again some day. Thinking about adding an EQ from Kenwood or rockford not sure........................

Well the newer stuff just isnt as underrated or built as well as the newer stuff. I mean, you could pull nearly 1400w out of those 1100a2s.... thats killer. Those newer punch z subs absolutely suck but the power series, and he2 and hx2 are awesome subs.

I agree with you epicenter, i liked the old ones a lot but the new ones are lot more stable than the older models of amps, the Z series is ok for enetry level or SQ but not for experienced or SPL people.

Yeah im looking at a 5 channel Kenwood and a 6 channel rockford fosgate. the rockford has dual sub adjustment for 2 sets of sub pre-amps, not sure what to go with though? cause the kenwood sounds really good at the local shop and ive havent heard the rockford one yet........................

kenwood is great, i have the 5 bands, but then i can set it to sub EQ and i can change the level and the freq responce, im happy with it, it has double illumination so i can set it to amber or green to match the GM guages, im impressed with the kenwood

I had 2 10 He2's with an 360.2 amp pushing 500 watts.

It was pretty good. I loved the bass boost controller. Enabled me to turn it down when playing rock music and turn it up when playing rap.
