i think youre looking at the eacv, it just has the coolant lines hooked up to it and its only on 88-89 efi cars i believe.

Yup it is for 88,89 only 86,87 have a vacume controll it helps regulate idle

OK, but what does it do because like I said, it also has a plug on it for the fuel rail.......

It regulates idle under stress condition and i think fast idle. For instance if you put a modified cam shaft in your car wil no idle ajustment will idle bad but continue to run if you unplugb that device it will stal flat. If you are wondering about disconnecting it you should when setting your idle but not any time else it will produce a check engine light.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm gathering information for the people who want to do the b16 intake mani. conversion....... That's why I need to know every little sensor, vacuum line and coolant line that comes near or into our standard intake mani..... Because when you do this conversion, I've noticed that there will be some things that we can bypass or do without and others, like this EACV plug that may have to be retro fitted onto the new mani.:smokin:
