i have a Pacesetter header and i need a new gasket for the middle section
the plastic melted off the lock nuts, then one fell out, then i blew the gasket, now the car sounds like ass and smells like it too... i think its an 89 LXi gasket in there, but i was wonderin if anyone knew fo sho?

buy the OEM honda exhaust manifold gasket, it's way better!

but is it the same on a pacesetter header as the stock pacesetter one? i have a 86 DX so its not even close and i havent seen a 89 LXi one. if its the same, ill just go buy one on saturday

the 1989 LXi honda accord gasket is the same pattern as the Pacesetter gasket?

I remember Phydeaux saying those paper gaskets that come with it are crap (same problem you had) and he had a very hard time finding one to replace it.

just go down to the honda dealer and get OEM replacement. it should be a direct fit, if i'm correct. just go down to your honda dealer and ask them i need a exahust manifold gasket.

that happened to mine, and i got the runaround trying to find a replacement. i ended up using teh mesh template tehy sandwiched the paper over and stainless steel foil to make one, it works great. i will never need another gasket as long as i have these headers ( which i wish would be shorter rather than later now)

shitty... i guess ill find some gasket material or somthing... then ill have to take the header off to draw a template, unless my gasket is in OK shape
