What makes you love the Accord 3Gee so much? Is it because of the look, the style, the reliability, handling, or etc...

I love my 3gee too !

All of the above. And no car payment on it for the last 15 years, and hopefully 15 more!

ive had this car since i was 16. now im 19 and this car is just as sleek as the day when i bought it. every drive was an experiance. now, it is sitting, paciently waiting for the day this new power plant will be put in. waiting for the day blood(gas) will flow through its veins once again. thats how i feel.

It was cheap, the 3geez are the best looking family cars from the late 80's that i've seen, it's practical, and it's reliable.

I haven't had my car since last july, but I still remember why. Cause if was fun, really fun. Set one up with sticky tires, 15" or 16", Koni's, good springs and it's a very rewarding car to push hard, can't say that about a 2003 accord. And it's reliable and cheap.

I love everything about it, from the beautiful stylish lines (especially for an 80's car), to the sound it makes when you start it up. First on my list would be reliability, reliability, reliability (yes, I wrote that 3 times). I can just get in and go anywhere without any worries, and these engines really are freaking bulletproof! The handling is nice and crisp, especially for a 4 door, and the steering always makes me happy. It's got plenty of room for me and everything else to travel in comfort, and it's remarkably smooth and quiet on the highway. Love the sound of the engine too.... it doesn't sound rough like many other 4 bangers (mostly domestic).... nice and smooth. It's got plenty of pep for what I need it for (daily driver and highway cruiser). Flippies are a must! Plus it's got all the power options you'd ever need plus a nice p/moonroof, and the pushbutton HVAC controls are cool too. I guess it just fits me perfectly, and puts a smile on my face each and every day (except for the rust holes.... I don't smile at those).

I also like the looks of disbelief I get when people ride with me or hear how good the car runs, then I tell them it's got 316k and they're like.... "No way....how many engine rebuilds?". I smile and say "Zero!"

:)

i like the fact that its not a civic like everyone else, and it was free for me, and my first car that is officially "mine" i am probably going to keep it until i have to give it up. and i see no reason why i would do that!

plus the hatchback is still a damn good looking car to this day. and the pop ups look good, unlike a lot of other popup headlights...

231,000 on the ticker and it still takes a beating almost everyday. my car has never let me down yet! :)

yeah i do love the 3g!

Yeah, my accord never fails to run, it always starts up. I could have another car next to me and it will be half dead, and won't start up.
But I turn the keys and my 3gee will always power up and let me drive it.
It looks good too, I like how almost everything is powered, for a 80s car, and has everything I need. I like the flip up lights too, it makes it look way cooler than other cars, I stop at the red lights and the cars next to me won't look as cool as my 3gee :super:

I have always like the Accords. I got the 88 becuse it was cheap for my first Honda. Now, I have a bond with the car. I don't let it down, it doesn't let me down.

I just bought my accord a few weeks ago, so I haven't really had it that long. But I like mine because of its styling, pop-up headlights, fuel economy, and well...I just love it.

i don't..and i sold it

Ha j/k, my particular 3g was a damn POS and a neusience. I will buy another one in the future. Its not that stylin', its not that fast, but it sure is reliable

ALTERED4

well, i cant say its reliable... everything has busted on the car, and after repairing almost everything on it, everthing still leaks/smokes/does not work...

cant say the car looks nice (my 240 and my prelude look nice), the car is well over 15 years old, i bet i couldnt get more than 800 dollars if i tried to sell it...

so here are the reasons i love my 3g...

-cheap to drive... the car has been paid off for 10 years, liability insurance is dirt cheap, i can pump cheap gas and still get 30+ mpg...

-cheap to repair... if something breaks, i take a quick drive to the junkyard... couldnt get any cheaper... ive fixed just about everything on the car, so no labor charges here, again, cheap... ive been able to find replacement jdm motors for as little as 350 dollars... talk about cheap... junkyards around here are CRAWLING with donor 3g's...

-lots of cars get stolen/broken into where i work... even though you'd imagine no one wants to break into/steal a 3g, my 3g was broken into 3 times last year alone... and every time it gets broken into, fixing a broken window requires a quick trip to the junkyard...

well its all about how well the car was taken car of in the past, my parents changed the oil every 5-10k miles straight off the dealership lot in 89. The engine started to chug and work really bad, and eat spark plugs at 179k. Then my car died at 195k, so it was my fucking parents fault, now i have a new engine in it with 86k and i take really good care of it, never dies on me and runs really good.

I'm planning on owning another car in my life.

:stick:

If I could I'd trade the 3gee for an S2K, I'd do it in a second.

I hope you guys aren't that obsessed.
