I am considering replacing the original front brake discs and am wondering if I should go with OEM $56.36 at Majestic vs. Brembro $38.88 each? Any tips for getting the flat screws off would be appreciated.

I'd go with the Brembos. They're just as good if not better, and cheaper too! I got my Brembos about a year ago and haven't had any warping problems. I think I only paid $32 each for mine though, from www.nobleforeign.com

:)

Thanks, I will definitely check out noble foreign. Did you have any difficulty removing the flat screws? Did you replace the screws too? Did the discs pop off with a few taps or did you use the screw holes? Do you remember the size if you used bolts to pry the disc off?

Prices for Brembro Discs
Noble $43.74
DriveWire $41.15
All OEM Autoparts $38.88
all have free shipping

So how hard is it to get the old ones off?

Easy. Just be careful not to strip the screws holding the rotors or you'll have more work to do.

I agree with Mike. That said I believe many auto companies contract out for parts and it is possible to buy these parts without the dealer mark up eg. NGK plugs being used as OEM. The price was for the Brembros. That site had free shipping with a $75 order.

Easy? How about without an impact gun? I have an impact tool that I hit with a hammer. I guess you don't know til you try.

yeha it's easy even without an impact gun. There's not much to use it anyway. 2 bolts for the caliper 2 for bracket and 2 screws for the rotor. Unless you want to get under the car for this job which you don't have to.

BTW ! after takung the screws out you may need to hit with hammer for the disc to fall ! ( just don't hit it at the disc area )
