Hey guys, it's been ages... Well my accord has always done this: When I rev it, it falls slowly. I compared it to my friend's civic hatch and his revs rise and fall quicky. Is this normal for our accords or do I need to do some carburetor repair/maintainence? At one point I thought it was because of my exhaust leak, but that was because I didn't know what else to blame it on. Thanks a lot guys, you're always really helpful.

Could just be the weight of the flywheel.

yeah i know josh "goldyaccord" said my car reved up and down quicker than his, and i had i/h/e for mods and he didnt. so maybe they are just real slow stock! they rise quick enough for me, but i wouldnt mind a lighter flywheel sometimes.. :)

im willing to bet its fine...

Well, sometimes when I push in the cluth the RPMs will hold, if not rise a little. I read something in my Hayes manual about a mechanism that holds the throttle open for a second to make shifting easier and for emissions?

So I may need a new coil?

Err.. the coil pulses DOES FOLLOW the flywheel +/- few deg. advance. "weight of the flywheel" means accord's flywheel is heavier than civic's, more inertia...
But what's rpm range u complaining about? From 2000 to idle there is this throttle controller thing which slows the throttle. Have a look at blue/green check valve on #6 line. Bypass it on see if any diff...
