View Full Version : dirt out of the exhaust ?

well my dad's car has dirt coming out of the exhaust ( black liquid ) , it happens mostly when car is cold and increases when you floor it !! , car runs fine , gas milage fine ! fuel filters , sparks , air filter , oil , oil filter all replaced less than 2000 miles ago !

what could this be ?

Could this just be combustion water (by-product) condensing due to the cold exhaust pipe and mixing with the soot? If it does not happen when the exhaust pipe is warmed up then I wouldnt worry about it, especially if you coolant is not an odd color and does not look like it is contaminated with oil.

but it's shooting black dirt ! ??
you could be right ! and the black color due to all teh shit in the exhaust ( hasn't bee changed for 5 years :D )

Prolly just like carbon build up. It happens here, too. Leaves a nice black ashy type stain on the cement, too.

Condensation is normal and for the black its probably just soot.

It's probably condensation. my dads lude did that and we just never fixed it. oh well we sold it! but I saw a camaro at the strip that ran 12's and had actual dirt(no water) just flying out the exhaust!!!!!! i don't know wtf is goin on there! must be a farmer or somethin.

put a hose in our muffler and fill it up then rev the shit outta it that'll clean it up lol

you can do that if you want but do it while the motor is cold and don't use so much water tyhat it'll fill the exhaust system and go into the motor lol
fill up ennough to fill the muffler and turn on the car
