You may want to contact Yasu his screename is YK86. He will be able to tell you all you need to know about a B20 swap..

All the B20A info is posted in this forum and you can start with YK86's post at the top of the forum. As far as cost i would expect to pay around $1000 but some members have found them for dirt cheap but thats because the demand was low and the places want to get rid of them. But if you read through the posts you will have more than enough info.

Hes right you need to get that tranny mount but when I got mine b20a and my best frind got his they both had the mount on them so you have a 50/ 50 chance. But the good news is all the other mounts are the same as the a20a

SPI sold their last one a couple months ago. Try Openloop (justanothermike on this board).

I believe openloop can get others if they sold them all. I bought one setup from openloop and a 5spd tranny from Spi Tuning. B20A's are becoming harder to find because most places want to get rid of what they have and not order more. One place i talked to tried to order me one from Japan but the exporter had flagged the motor not to export to the US an longer. Dont know why they did but i would think it was due to lack of sales. Good Luck with your search and there are plenty of ways to get JDM parts so thats not really an issue.

Thats crazy, no more importing the B20a!?!

Rob, got a question for you, do you know where I can go to for info on JDM parts. I emailed several places for parts for a JDM B18A, but no luck, do you have any suggestions.

In this forum i have a post on getting parts from Japan. Its not the one at the top of the first page. The place im talking about is in Japan and you just email part numbers and they will send you prices. The shipping is expensive but its coming from Japan and its only about a week to get the parts.

So many posts about the JDM B20A and still no price... I am still trying to find out how much the complete engine costs in the Toronto area. If anyone knows please tell me!!!

Well if you check around in the US you can buy a JDM B20a for about $1200 but if a few buy this guy said he would lower the price for a discount. And it comes with all of the good stuff that's hard to get. It's a complete motor also. He said he has four and probably get more if he sells them.

i found a B20 for 650$ canadian engine and tranny , 50, 000 km on both, i don't want to do an EFI swap because i have neither the skill, time or money to replace things... so is it worth it to run the B20 carbed? then maybe do a swap later.

at what shop did you find it??? Cause I know most shops in Ontario and Quebec... none of them had the right B20A...... I just want to make sure you got the correct one..

it's not worth to use the stock carb with the B20A.... use a webber replacement carb to make it run good... It will work with the stock carb but you will not obtain the full potential..

wow... $650 canadian? that's kinda fishy! I mean the b16 is $1800 canadian... how is the b16 which is a better engine so much cheaper? I wouldn't trust that engine!
