wiring a second battery?

How do u wire a second battery so that it recharges like the car battery. my friend and i want to run our systems and electronic extras off of one. ne suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Take out your spare tire and relocate your main batt to where the spare once was. Then set the other 2nd batt beside it run the - and + to it from the main batt. Then connect the power wire from the amps to + on the 2nd batt that you ran - and + to??? ... :lol I really have no idea im just suggesting ..You never know it might work.

i'd still be running it of the main battery therefor defeating the purpose. nice idea though!

heheh ...I was just messin around ..I knew you ment running your "system and electronic extras off one", Seems that you would have to re-wire some things ...I.E. power wire for HU ..etc

I guess i will have to do some asking around at the local audio stores. There are like 3 in my town, it sucks major. worse yet is that i know all them and they're assholes that would not tell me so i'd have to pay them to do it. :wtf: BASTARDS!!

why do you want two batteries?
you can run good system with one battery. all you need is high output alternator and cap (just to make sure).
adding second battery will kill alternator a lot faster.

Yeah you just mentioning that brought to my attension that if he wants the 2nd battery to power ""Only"" his system, Wouldnt that battery just evntually die ... :confused:

if you wire the second battery right it won't die, but it will kill your alternator quick. alternator would have to work twice harder to keep those batteries full of charge.

Yeah i dunno what i was thinkin when i typed that, The second battery would have to be run off the Alternator ...lol
