hey guys whats up? I am ordered an act clutch and lightened flywheel for 385 dollars total, and its coming in about 5 days.
My acceleration should be better, and the car will be a tad bit faster too. Can someone who has this combo tell me what they have noticed since they installed both components in their car.

What flywheel is this? It can't be that alluminum one b/c I thought it alone was $375 or close to it. What are the brands?

Maybe they are just regrinding the flywheel. B/c that price is really cheap for both of those items. If my clutch ever goes out (hope to god it doesn't) I will buy an alluminum flywheel for the 3G.

http://www.indigospeed.com/GTPullies.html - bah it is not a flywheel but light pulleys i thought it was a flywheel since i put that in google and it brought up this page, oh well i needed those anyway. IN about 4 months i will order dc sports headers and a lighteneded flywheel.

Cool thanks for clarifying that. I want to get those pulleys too. I'm at the point where I need to start getting into aspects of power for the 3G.

WIth an aluminum flywheel your revs will climb alot faster. You will likely stall your car alot when you first get it being it takes a little more play to keep the engine turning since it has less weight to keep itself going.

Overall very nice pice to have

my friend installed a flywheel in his 86 mustang 5.0 and it revs a lot faster, but has no problem in idle.

One question, ok two, when you ordered your pullies did it include the crank shaft pulley and if so did you ask them if it was harmonically balanced???

I would assume that the #5204 at $257 is the stage II....... But I could be wrong........:D

There is no such part number for ACT clutches for with 5204. Please locate the link above that i provided and you will see. Call them and ask them witch one do they actually carry.

That is not the manufacture's part number! That is an internal " company part number" that is what i'm trying to tell ALL OF YOU!
Look at the manufacturer's website and see for yoursefl.

Or, look here... http://209.151.81.66/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16722 these are the two clutches available (street clutches) for our cars.
I suggest you do more research before jumping into unknown deals like that.

I'm not saying you got ripped, i'm just saying do your homework and find out dirrectly from manufactures what exactly do they offer for your car.:stick:

well i know there is a different number, but this site has one kind. From the box its h-018 (heavy duty pressure plate) then an act clutch, so i think its stage II, but i dont really care.
