I got sick of having a screen in my car that did nothing, So I went digging through the closet, and got out the old NES. I hooked it up to the video on the screen, and I hooked up the sound through the radio with the AUX input. I got a splitter for the RCAs because the Nintendo only had 1 audio output. Anyways, heres the pics. I haven't mounted the Nintendo, cause I just hooked it up for the hell of it.

Yah I have Excitebike, one crappy thing about nintendo is that you gott blow in the game for like five minutes and fiddle around with it to get it to work. And somtimes it freezes. Lol.

that's bad connectors... nintendos in this house only work right for about 6 months because of the high humidity...

I have a Super Nintendo too. I think I'm gonna hook that up. Since it will probably work better. Then I will mount it somewhere. I tell ya though, playin these games takes you on a trip down memory lane... I wish I was still a kid. lol.

Mount both and get a switch so you can select between the two... don't know if that's possible, but it would be sweet to have multiple systems hooked up. Of course, that just leaves more shit to get stolen....

You can get the latest generation of 8 bit Nintendo. The cartridge loader was like the Snes. No more problems with this method... works great.

Those "top-loading" 2nd gen NES's are actually collectors items, sometimes fetching $100 on Ebay depending on condition. I bought mine for $8 at a pawn shop some years ago, and still have it :D

If the games aren't loading right, it's because the contacts have gotten old due the cheap solder job on the hold point, or the contactd have sunk in. There is an electronics site that sells a replacement piece for $10 bucks; Google for it.

but the LCD screen isn't. so the whole idea doesn't totally work. but i do still think it's cool.

as long as you have Tetris, Exitebike, and Super Mario Brothers 3 you're set. I hope you have 3, that game is excellent.

yeah dude there is a nice little switch you can pick up just about anywhere from target, shopkp, and readio shack. its a system switch that allows you to input 3 devices and channel them down into one output, by the press of a button. real in expensive too.

actually thats super mario bros 1.. SMB 2 looks a hell of a lot diff and 3 being the coolest of em all... SMB1 rocked. and 2 sucked 3 killed em all... but the one where luigi looks for mario (not the gamecube game, the original game for nes) sucked more than any of em... i had all 3 SMB TMNT 2 kicked arse too
