Ok ive gotten myself a few intakes an ive been looking at an 88-89 intake bypass plate and i had a big idea... The idea is this, the butterfly valves are 44mm and thats not too big, that what peeps are runnin with ITBs... about 45mm-48mm and anyways, i was thinking, couldnt you just run the bypass butterfiles with the long runners blocked off and use them as throttles? I know its not that simple because you would prolly have to go huge with the fuel managemant and what not but i think serious gains could make it worth it... what do you guys think? also it really doenst change the length of the manifold...

I don't think the increase top end power would make up for all the torque lost at low and mid rpm. I bet it wouldn't take long to take apart the intake manifold, find something to use as an air filter, reset the ECU and give it a try.

i am sure you can fit B16-b18 ITB manifold.

Yeah... but they also cost $2000... but the big problem is that you gotta run some stand alone fuel management. They say the multiple tbs increase torque and mid range power. Who knows... Also the people that run them rarely use filters

im thinking itd lean out, im trying to think how i can fool the engine into running richer... i need a fpr... I also gotta figure out how im gonna attach the brake booster vac line and also the map sensor... I already have some tps sensors and stuff im messing with. Originally the bypass was set up to have the spring hold it open all the time, and now, it took 5 min, and the spring holds it closed, just like a tb...

Well I would highly suggest a cosmo racing FPR even comes with a PSI gauge.
