Maybe you guys can help me before i take it to someone. I have two 12" kenwood DB+'s runnin off a 1000 watt MA Audio Amp and comin from a Alpine Head Unit. NOw the problem is that my subs keep cuttin on and off then eventually just off. I dont know what the deal is any answers? Oh yah i checked all the minor shit.:sadwave:

Does the amp go into protect mode? If you have your subs wired up at too low of ohms this will happen. I dunno what the specs are on the subs or the amp, So I can't really say for sure. And I don't know how you wired the speakers. Are they bridged to mono? Or do you have them in stereo?

id bet that the amp is going thermal on you, how do you have it hooked up to the subs?

check the ground wire too, as well as the remote. if these are rattling loose it will give you the same problem

If you ahve your gain set to high to compensate for preamp output voltage then you might be clipping the amp and subs and sending it into protect mode, tha could be your problem.

Maybe it's the speaker wire? ..I used Monster speaker wire on some Pioneer 6x9's and the amp would cut out. I changed the wire and then it worked. The weird thing is the wire i changed to was some cheap Wal-Mart shit ...Now im using the same amp and Monster speaker wire but they are hooked up to my Infinity 6.5's now and it has never cut out

well fellas i took it to the shop and it turns out that the fuse box thats near the battery was melted through to the wires. he told me that my system is runnin to much power and to much electricity through it. Had to put a circuit breaker in it cost me like 5o bucks. Dude said that with that i will never blow a fuse again. thanks for the helpo though fellas appreciate it.

The Fuse box near the battery ..How'd that melt? Don't you have a Fuse in the main power wire to the amps ? ..Im confused
