no, there is nothing to reset, its not like this newer obd 1 or 2 stuff, its kinda primitive. Ive heard of a few companies that re chip these computers but its not worth the hundreds of $$'s

talk to Sean about GMC ecu. it is a lot better one.

appearently even resetting our ECU's is supposed to help, but to be honest, i never noticed a difference when i did it! :)

I want the stock ROM data in a good ol binary file so I can goof with it. I have an ECU that I've removed the ROM out of and replaced with a socket, so I'm ready to play with some code once I get a PROM writer.

My olcal shop does the burning of new chips for only 200 bucks installed-and it has a rev limit of 7500!!! :)

Our ecu's can and do learn. they have a learning function.. that's the whole reason for an ECU. if you change something major reset the ecu and you WILL notice a change.... especially in your gas mileage
