Thats exaclty is wrong with my old ND compressor. Maybe I should do the camething your doing and sell it. Post when you find a way to pul the clutch out without the remover tool. I'll give my old one a look sometime soon.

the removal tool screws into the hole where the nut goes, maybe try a 3 leg gear puller

so Pete you are saying that the clutch plate is threaded too ! ?
i tried a 3 leg gear puller ! no enough clearance for the legs to get in ! ( .7 mm ) ??

yeh, check the inner edge of the hole where the nut is,....you should find that there's a thread in it,....if you can get a bit of threaded pipe to fit, then weld a nut onto pipe with bolt to fit, you'll have yourself a clutch removal tool

my nippon burned up too. I thought it was the better one cuz the pump had more cylinders but it really crapped out fast.

ND's are the really crappy ones right? compared to the Sanden compressors?

Did any of our cars come with the Sanden compressors stock, or was that an aftermarket deal with the whole r-134a conversion issue?

Accord EX, please inform us on what you find out inside the compressor (clutch, and coil)... i am interested in fixing mine as well.

no i mean teh stator coil for the compressor the one that pulls teh clutch to the pulley to turn on the compressor ! this coil has to have a resistance of 3.4 ohms mine doesn't have a thing at all ! that's why i replaced my compressor ! so if you get the coil out you can buy an OEM replacement from majestic honda for 50 $ which is much cheaper a compressor ! and it's pretty common problem to compressors ! :)
