tranny switch

I was just curious if anyone here has done a auto to manual tranny switch? If so any ideas on the cost? Just a little curious because I would like switching my auto to a manual.

yeah i may have to look into a new tranny for mine as well. if you go from auto to manual tranny, do you also need an engine that is set up for manual. or does that matter? hope you know what i mean. thought about asking this earlier, good thing infecto brought it up. HOLLA!!!!

i did it, it cost me a total of $360 but i bought a whole car with all the needed parts for $200, and a new clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing for about 100, and a Lx-i 5spd ECU for about 60, its pretty straightforward if you strip the parts yourself and see where they go. took me about 2 weeks to do after work and or school, and i'd never dropped a tranny before.
