alright here is the problem
my brakes all of the sudden got pretty hard to press
and when i do press the brake pedal i hear a tssssssss sound
like some kind of air leak and it shuts my engine off

can someone help me out
easy fix, difficult fix?

hmmmm... could it be one of those posts where you have to change the blinker fluid and adjust the motor mount? :D

If not, your brake lines may be clogged. Can you use the brakes at all though? sounds like your pads are worn out too I dunno. give more detail.

vacuum leak at the engine ??

i just put more fluid in it, and i just found out, when the engine is not warmed up. i hit the brakes and it does the opposite, the rpm's get higher instead of lower and lower untill the engine completely turns off..
it is a 87 lx 5speed by the way

There is a vacuum line between the booster and the intake manifold check that for leaks or cracks.

i checked that, no leaks no cracks.. still dying

i hear the leak from inside the car.. i cant hear it from the engine bay.. any suggestions?

check your brake relay switch behind the pedal?
