What's sup guys and gals. I'm new to the post and just thought I would tell you a problem that I'm having and hopfully there will be some good advice.

I am a proud owner of a 1986 Honda Accord LX 4Dr. Carb./Auto.

I bought a 1988 Honda Accord LXI 2Dr. EFI/5-speed.

Motor swap has already been done and car is up and running. (New: 1986/(88) Honda Accord 4Dr. EFI/5-speed.

I was doing some research on code 13 and I believe it was BARO Atmosphere sensor. I was just wondering where I would find the location of this sensor.

Either on the 86 or 88 body.

Also when you are going from 2dr wire harness to a 4dr vehicle how would the wiring work on the pw&pl for the back doors??

Thanx
Gabriel

Thanx for the welcome. I'm in Tampa, Fl.
I checked the haynes manual and it said that it was located in the trunck on the drivers side. But I don't see any sensor there. :(

When you say behind the passengers seat in the corner that doesn't fold down, what do you mean by that? (The part that doesn't fold down)

Is there anymore suggestions on where else it might be located at?

well...the back seat folds down in mine,so there's the end parts of the back seat that doesn't,a couple of bolts hold it on,when i removed the right hand side 1, i found the sensor behind it(a small black box with wiring connector)

Still...I don't see shit in both of the cars.... I don't see no Black box with a connecter on it.... I've done tore up both cars from bumper to bumper. Can't find it.

See that 's the thing... All my interior is taken out because of this problem. I've looked everywhere. Do the 88 LXi's come with this sensor because I'm having a hard time tring to locate it in both cars... I'm Stomped!!! Don't know what else to do.

If I run a 2 generation prelude ecu in my car will it still throw the same code??
Also which year ecu, from prelude, would I have to use?
By the way, Cruznz, thanks for all the input by the way.

well, you have me stumped too,.....i need to check my 1 out now,..lol.....i'd suggest double checking the boot ,(trunk),out again if the manual says its there.

Carb dont use a PA sensor

As for ecu, check FAQ,(i think, or maybe How To's ),for ecu info

Had some time today and on my '88LXi 4dr, stick, made in Marysville, etc. etc., this is my where PA sensor is located, under the glove compartment, on the fan housing. Other cars may be different, but that's where mine is. I unplugged it, just to make sure thats what it was and 13 blinks!

Thanks Steve.

With that sensor not being plugged in with the car hessitate sometimes ( between 1k-2k rpms) when driving it??

Is the 86 ac box (the picture that you showed me) different?

I didn't get a chance to drive the car till yesterday, but I did unplug the sensor after it was warmed up, and drove it for about 30 min. To tell you the truth, I didn't notice anything different (ran fine), except for that damn yellow CEL glaring at me. But then again, I didn't drive where the elavation changed (hills) or with a change in weather (baromertic pressure), so what I found is meaningless.
As far as the 86 coil box and fan goes I would guess they're similar, but like Pete said, carb cars don't use a PA sensor. So try and locate the plug with 3 wires on the 88 harness in the corner by the fan and mount the sensor from the donor car somewhere under the dash. If you absolutly can't find the plug, you can get another plug at a J/Y or this board and run new wires to the ecu.

sorry for the late reply but that sensor is indeed located under the blower motor.... Haynes got it all wrong on that one.
