why wont gauge faces for 88-89 fir 86-87?

well yall read the subject......whats the difference.......and do they make em for auto'z? I saw a pic of some but searched ebay and couldnt find any auto onez

They have different fuel/temp gauges. The 86-87 the needles point outward and inward on the 88-89.

Not always true. At first we all thought that to be, but it more seems to be where is was built(Japan/USA), instead of the year. Mine is an 87 that has them pointed inwards. blazin2gen has an 88 but outward gauges. I can tell you that the gauge has never been swapped, most likey the same situation for blazin2gen.

hey i just bought some indiglo guages for my car. the STUPID company never gave any instructions so i would be VERY VERY cautious about ordering but the name is www.procarparts.com I have a 87 dx 5spd and my fuel/temp gauges are pointing in also. hope to post pics soon
