if someone were to purchase some speakers, but didn't like having the black speaker grilles, could they repaint them? if you put something in each hole, that was removable, so they didn't get filled would it be possible. some people like not having the grille on the speaker, and others do. if you had a color scheme you are going with and wanted the speaker covers to be the same could it be done? THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION, THOUGH IT WOULD BE A GOOD THING TO KNOW. thanks for the feedback.

just use spray paint from a distance and put a real fine coating

Yeah a thin and even coat will cover the grill but not fill the hole. That should work. So I guess the answer is yeah its ok to paint the grills.
