a USDM 88 integra either has a D16A1, 113hp or a D16A3, 118hp.
the D16A8/9 has 137hp but that was in USDM 90-93 integra GS/RSs.
the only other D16 with close to 130hp is a D16Y8 but that is a single cam engine out of a 96-00 Civic EX and has 127hp, or a D16Z6 SOHC with 125hp out of a 92-95 Civic EX or a 93-95 Del Sol Si.

SOHC D16 swaps have been discussed on here before and have it's generally been decided that they aren't worth it. i still think a Y8 would be pretty cool.

Your better off swapping a B18a .. Those are a dime a dozen..

130hp is weak. Get a B18C or a H22. That will give you some power to really kick some Civic ass! :D

2nd gen tegs have b series engine, not D series engines, which is a good thing, since D series power curves make for boring cars. The 90-93 tegs got the B18A1, their was a JDM 2nd gen teg with the ZC and their was a JDM B16A teg

Swapping a ZC or a D series would be a waste of money, just go drive a civic EX 92-00 and you'll put you wallet back into your pocket and start dreaming of swapping something else, hopefully something worth driving when your done.

You forgot to mention that in 92-93 Acura released a vtec engine. the 92-93 GS-R's had the rare USDM B17a1..

i believe you but my source was http://members.aol.com/sean879/hondaengines.html which seems to show that a 90-93 GS could have either a D16 or a B16, and it only shows a D16 for the RS.

and while we're on the subject, could somebody please explain what constitutes a ZC engine? i don't ever recall seeing an engine code ZC but i could be wrong and i hear the term all the time refering to single and dual cam engines.

ZC engines were found mostly in Japan and it's used in Japan.. The zc engine most ppl refer too here in the states are the ones found in the 1st gen tegs.. Most ZC engines were SOHC except the top of the line which had ZC DOHC... The ZC DOHC was one of the first honda engines used in swaps.. pretty kewl huh.. As for the info u posted, it was not incorrect in JDM terms. Just incorrect in USDM terms..
