View Full Version : we need: how to swap LXi brakes to a DX/LX

I want to do this to up my braking power as easily as possible. Here's what I think we need:

1. brake booster (optional but helpful)
2. rotors/calipers (duh) (good time to upgrade to drilled/slotted)
3. steering knuckle assy.
4. proportioning valve
5. some Earl's s.s. lines :)

anything I'm forgetting? :werd:

oh yea the brake fluid tank (it's bigger) and the master cylinder with the booster

I have an junk 87 Lx-i sitting around, I should do the same to my 86 Lx

aren't the front brakes the same as the LXi?

Front SE-i and LX-i are the same.

Remember though, that's only 88-89 LX-i. The 86-87 LX-i had the same little brakes that the DX and LX did.
