It's new exhaust piping from the catalytic converter all the way back to the muffler.

Yes it does. It's less restrictive than the stock exhaust so you should feel a bump in power plus better gas mileage.

Yeah but it's kind of expensive b/c you could probably go to a muffler shop and have a custom one made. Ask them to make you a 2.25 mandrel bent cat-back. (same thing as the pacesetter one) And the muffler that comes with it is crap. You might want to get a performance muffler that you like.

I believe our catalytic converter is right where the headers come down off the engine and start going horizontal...so basically under the passenger footwell. Not positive, but I'm pretty sure.

getting a cat back exhaust is gonna be one of the first things i do o my car
You don't have to get a catback, but it does make a difference in the higher rpm range, but they're expensive... other then that a custom catback with a good muffler will make a nice difference. I did a 2.25" piping from the cat and then had a dtm style muffler welded on. If you want a big power difference do the whole thing-
header---> high flow cat ----> catback exhaust. then you will have a brand new exhaust system from the motor all the way back.

I'm going to do headers and 2.25" pipe with a muffler welded on. I"m still unsure on what muffler to use.
Do a DTM style muffler, they look good on our cars.
