Help to remove air vent

A sup crew. Just wanted to know if u can help me out i wanted to paint my vents but the middle one has a cable and i dont want to cut it. is there a certain way to take the cable out? if anyone has done this help me out. :confused:

you have to slide the cable off the hook... the hook is on the vent lever... behind the radio.

actually if i remember correctly i unscrewed were it is attached to the vent..
i dont remember exactly what i did but it was pretty simple to take apart and put back together..
and my level still works..
